Is there wifi on airplanes?

On Monday I'm flying to England and I'm wondering if there will be wifi on the plane. The flight is about 12 hrs so it would be awesome if airplanes have wifi. I'm flying on Virgin Airlines, or so I was told. Thank you for your answers!
