My mom is afraid of me riding the plane by myself?

so im going on vacation to Florida this year for vacation, and my best friend lives there... anyway i asked my mom if i could stay with my friend and she, my dad, and sister went home after our family vacation, while i stayed with my friend for like a week, and come home on the plane by myself. She didn't really have a problem with it.. well the only thing is she is afraid of me riding the plane by myself. Before, she told me when I was 14 i could go alone and im almost 14 ( in less than 2 months) but she thinks something bad will happen to me. I've seen A LOT of younger kids ride planes by them selves! An 8 year old rode by himself!! i don't see why i cant. Any suggestions on what i should do or tell her? thanks in advanced!
